Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 June, as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a Protocol on further expansion of cooperation in the field of tourism was signed between the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye.

The document determines the practical steps of the parties in the coming years to mutually increase the tourist flow, joint projects and initiatives in this area.

Also on the sidelines of the visit, negotiations took place between the Chairman of the Tourism Committee U. Shadiev and the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye M. Ersoy.

Based on the tasks set by the President of Uzbekistan during a conference call on tourism on 3 June, issues of improving the qualifications of Uzbekistan hotel business managers in large complexes in Türkiye, attracting Turkish experience in the development of medical tourism, and implementing new educational programs for students were worked out with the Turkish side and other proposals.

An agreement was reached to hold the next III meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish Joint Commission on Tourism in Khiva with the participation of leading tour operators and hotel chains of the two countries.
