Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Representatives of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Tourism and Uzbek diplomats in Turkey on-line discussed issues of further development of cooperation in the field of tourism with Turkish specialists and tour operators, Dunyo news agency reported.

From the Turkish side, the chairman of the All-Turkish Association of Tourism Sector Subjects (TURSAB) Firuz Baglikaya also participated in the event. The participants exchanged experience in the field of compiling forecast indicators for attracting tourists for the coming period, plans to restore the tourism sector in the post-pandemic period.

The parties agreed to continue dialogue, expand ties and exchange experience in restoring the tourism sector at the first stage due to domestic tourism, at the second - due to regional tourism from neighboring countries.

Aspects of the possible introduction of the Turkish experience in Uzbekistan in the system of certification of tourist facilities for safety against the epidemic are also touched upon. Other topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism were discussed.

As a result of the event, an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue, to organize a webinar in the near future with the participation of representatives of the tourism sector of the two countries with the assistance of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) for a detailed exchange of information and possible synchronization of the development of standards for certification of tourist facilities for safety against the epidemic "Virus-Free."
