Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held involving specialists from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), who focus on monitoring hazardous geological processes, and employees from Uzbekistan’s State Geological Monitoring Service.
The event discussed a bilateral cooperation project aimed at studying landslides. Topics included enhancing scientific capacity, collecting geospatial data, creating landslide hazard maps, and organizing monitoring efforts.
USGS representatives presented methods for monitoring and processing data on hazardous geological processes used in the USA.
Also participating in the discussion were experts from the State Enterprise "Uzbekhydrogeology" and the "Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology Institute," who had the opportunity to ask questions and receive necessary answers.
