Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 26 November 2024, in Cascais, Portugal, within the framework of the 10th Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, a meeting was held between the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhramjon Alloyev, and the High Representative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, Miguel Ángel Moratinos.

Moratinos confirmed his readiness to further develop cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Alliance, highly appreciating Uzbekistan's efforts to strengthen intercultural and interreligious dialogue, particularly the successful hosting of a high-level special event during the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in September.

The parties also discussed the plan for upcoming joint events.
