Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, visited the headquarters of the New Development Bank, where he met with its president, Dilma Rousseff.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in Central Asia, supporting the implementation of key projects in infrastructure and education, and expanding the role of the New Development Bank in promoting regional initiatives and socio-economic development.
The New Development Bank was established by the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) with the aim of financing infrastructure projects and sustainable development initiatives in BRICS countries and developing nations. Recently, new member countries joined the bank, including Egypt, the UAE, Bangladesh, Uruguay, and Algeria.
It is important to note that Uzbekistan recently obtained the status of a partner country of BRICS.
