Uzbekistan and the EU consider development of ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 28 October 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with the European Union Special Representative for Central Asia, Terhi Hakala.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues regarding the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU, emphasizing the importance of continuously strengthening this partnership.

Bakhtiyor Saidov and Terhi Hakala expressed confidence in the need to enrich the Uzbekistan-EU partnership with tangible results, placing particular importance on the "Central Asia - European Union" summit as a crucial platform for implementing new initiatives.

The parties also agreed to close cooperation aimed at ensuring a continuous upward trajectory for the partnership between Uzbekistan and the EU.

The meeting served as another confirmation of Uzbekistan's and the EU's commitment to developing mutually beneficial relations based on shared interests and principles of mutual respect.
