Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 October, a meeting was held between Tanzania's Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism Angela Jasmine, who was attending the UNWTO General Assembly in Samarkand, and Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiev.

The guest noted that Uzbekistan pays significant attention to education and formation of human capital at the state level, which is a sign of strength of Uzbekistan's future. She stated her great interest in the educational grants and opportunities created at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

At the end of the meeting with Ms. Jasmine, agreements were reached on conducting a study visit to the university, as well as implementation of joint projects in education.
