Uzbekistan and Tajikistan strengthen cooperation in air navigation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 August 2024, a historic meeting between the heads of Uzbek and Tajik air navigation service providers took place in Dushanbe, marked by an atmosphere of solidarity and mutual support.

The meeting focused on the need to strengthen cooperation in the field of air navigation services, which, as noted by both sides, will benefit both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The leaders discussed the capabilities of their enterprises, prospects for further cooperation, and approved an action plan for its development. The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the State Unitary Enterprise Center "UzAeroNavigation" and the State Unitary Enterprise "TajikAeroNavigation."

Loiq Begidjanov, General Director of TajikAeroNavigation, emphasized that the joint efforts are aimed at improving the quality and safety of air navigation, which is crucial for ensuring stable and secure air traffic between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. He expressed confidence that the exchange of experience and technologies will lead to new heights in this field.

Doniyor Jumayev, Director of the State Unitary Enterprise Center "UzAeroNavigation," highlighted that the memorandum facilitates the expansion of aviation and air navigation cooperation, strengthens air navigation services in the region, promotes the exchange of experience, and ensures flight safety through the airspace of both countries.
