Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek diplomats met in Stockholm with representatives of the Swedish Migration Agency Mats Ekholm and Sara Nilsson, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the kingdom in the field of labor migration were discussed, and an exchange of views took place on the possibility of creating favorable conditions for Uzbek labor migrants in Sweden.

The Swedish side welcomed the launch of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Stockholm, which, in their opinion, will contribute to the intensification of comprehensive cooperation between our countries, as well as the prompt resolution of emerging issues in the field of migration.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to continue regular contacts to further study the issue of expanding Uzbek-Swedish cooperation in the field of labor migration.
