Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Sweden, Rahmatulla Nurimbetov, held a meeting with Sweden’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margot Wallström. The two sides discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral relations and outlined key areas for future cooperation, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the negotiations, the focus was placed on more effectively utilizing the potential of both countries in the following areas:
Trade and economic cooperation: expanding mutual trade turnover and attracting investment.
Industrial and technological cooperation: implementing joint projects in the industrial sector and technology exchange.
Green and circular economy: collaboration in sustainable development, the introduction of eco-friendly technologies, and the development of a circular economy.
Innovation: supporting innovative projects and sharing experiences in the development of the innovation ecosystem.
Cultural and humanitarian ties: enhancing cooperation in culture, education, science, and tourism.
Additionally, Ambassador Nurimbetov and Minister Wallström exchanged views on the current situation and regional processes in Central Asia. The meeting confirmed the mutual interest of both Uzbekistan and Sweden in further developing multifaceted and mutually beneficial cooperation.
