Uzbekistan and South Korea to expand cooperation in development of e-government
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Republic of Korea signed memorandums of understanding in the sphere of development of electronic government system.

The Center for development of Electronic Government system under the State Committee of Communication, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of Uzbekistan paid a visit to the Republic of Korea on 20-27 April 2014.

The visit was organized to discuss current state and perspective directions of cooperation with key organizations in introduction of electronic government, as well as further expanding interaction in sphere of information-communication technologies.

Within the visit the memorandum of understanding between the Center for development of electronic government system and National Information Society Agency (NIA) and the memorandum of understanding between the Center for development of electronic government system and Korea State Governance Institute were signed, the press service of the State Communication Committee said.

The documents are directed at developing cooperation in the sphere of development of electronic government via exchange of experience, researches, knowledge and modern methods, creation of single system of intergovernmental interaction and exchange of data in e-government, etc.

Within the visit, the delegation also participated in the international conference “Reforms of the state governance in transition period: main ways and methods of achievement of the goals”.

The delegation of Uzbekistan also held meeting at Seoul Transport Operation and Information Service and National Computing and Information Agency (NCIA) to discuss perspective directions of cooperation in development of public transport and creation of modern centers of data processing to form state information resources and systems.
