Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with the Ambassador of the South Korean province of Chuncheonbuk-do for international affairs Kwak Tae Yeol, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the dialogue, the results of the visit of the delegation of the Samarkand region to the province of Chunchonbuk-do in December 2023, as well as planned events for the current year, were discussed.

Kwak Tae Yol expressed his readiness to establish cooperation with the Samarkand region in the areas of trade, investment, industry, culture and education. In this regard, it was noted that the provincial governor Kim Yong Hwan will visit Uzbekistan from 15 to 18 April.

According to the program of the upcoming visit, it is planned to hold a meeting at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, as well as organize a seminar on attracting young people from Uzbekistan to universities in the province of Chuncheonbuk-do.

In Samarkand region, negotiations are also planned with the heads of leading companies in the province on cooperation and the creation of new investment projects.

In conclusion, the parties noted that the upcoming visit will contribute to the development of interregional cooperation, the implementation of new investment projects and the strengthening of ties in the field of education.
