Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Jasurbek Choriev held a meeting with representatives of the South Korean Exim Bank.

During the meeting, which was attended by the head of the bank’s representative office in Tashkent, Yu Jae Hyun, and the deputy director of the Eurasia and Middle East Department, Nam Heni, issues related to financing the purchase of 6 Hyundai-Rotem high-speed trains were discussed.

In 2023, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding, a contract was signed between Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC and Hyundai-Rotem for the purchase of 6 high-speed electric trains.

The parties also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the development of the railway industry of Uzbekistan.
