Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with the Ambassador of Slovakia, Viktor Borecký.
The parties discussed prospects for increasing trade turnover and expanding industrial cooperation, with a focus on agriculture, automotive manufacturing, textiles, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and tourism.
Trade turnover between the two countries increased by 83% last year, and 20 companies with Slovak investments are operating in Uzbekistan.
It was agreed to resume the work of the Intergovernmental Commission (with a planned meeting in the second quarter of 2025) and to hold a business forum.
Mutual business missions are also planned to explore investment opportunities.
Both sides confirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation.
