Uzbekistan and Russia Expand Industrial Cooperation in Leather and Chemical Sectors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the INNOPROM–2025 international industrial exhibition, representatives of the Uzbek Association “Uzcharmsanoat” held a series of productive negotiations with Russian companies, outlining new areas of cooperation in the leather and chemical industries.

Key discussion topics included industrial cooperation, the supply of chemical components, deep wool processing, and the export of finished leather and footwear products to the Russian market.

One of the most notable meetings was held with representatives of the major Russian chemical company Polyplast Group. The parties analyzed the needs of Uzbek manufacturers in the supply of inorganic compounds, stabilizers, and chemical reagents used in leather production. They reached an agreement to exchange technical information and prepare trial shipments.

Negotiations with representatives of Absolut Bank focused on financial support tools for Uzbek enterprises entering the Russian market. The bank expressed readiness to provide settlement and credit services as well as banking guarantees through legal entities engaged in foreign trade, to facilitate export deals for Uzbek leather products.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for deep wool processing and the expansion of footwear exports to various Russian regions. Given the growing consumer interest in eco-friendly and natural products, Uzbek companies expressed their willingness not only to export goods but also to engage in joint production and industrial cooperation projects.

Uzbekistan’s participation in INNOPROM–2025 highlighted the country’s advanced technological capabilities in the leather and footwear industry, its export potential, and its readiness to strengthen industrial partnerships with Russian companies.
