Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 1 April 2025, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, Oleg Malginov.

During the meeting, the prospects for the development of multilateral strategic relations between the two countries were discussed, along with the importance of activating interparliamentary contacts to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

One of the central topics was the preparation for the upcoming 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held in Uzbekistan. The steps to deepen and expand cooperation between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Russia were also discussed.

Oleg Malginov emphasized the participation of the Russian delegation in the anniversary Assembly, noting that this is an important sign of the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
