Uzbekistan and Russia discuss key issues of bilateral cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today in Samarkand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.
In his Telegram channel, Saidov noted that the meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, with a wide range of issues regarding bilateral cooperation being discussed. Special attention was given to the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.
The ministers agreed to continue joint work between the foreign ministries of both countries within the framework of the implementation of the instructions from the heads of state aimed at strengthening allied relations and strategic partnership, developing political dialogue, expanding trade and economic cooperation, deepening cultural and humanitarian ties, and reinforcing collaboration in multilateral organizations.
Additionally, emphasis was placed on the development of cooperation in education, innovative technologies, infrastructure, regional security, as well as the discussion of possible ways to stimulate mutual investments and activate business contacts between Uzbekistan and Russia.
