Uzbekistan and Russia discuss development of the treasury

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation, measures are being taken to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and set priorities for the medium term.

At the invitation of the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a delegation of the Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation arrived in Tashkent.

Russian colleagues shared the successful experience of treasury support, by creating a centralized accounting department of budget recipients in the treasury on the basis of information technology.

During the forthcoming meetings, it is planned to discuss the effectiveness of monitoring the use of budget funds, the use of advanced methods of financial control, as well as increasing the responsibility of auditors for the quality of the control carried out by rechecking and evaluating the results.

Specialists of the Federal Treasury for supervision of audit activities also took part in a roundtable organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan on improving the effectiveness of external control over the quality of work of audit organizations.

The Russian side said that Action Plan for the further development of audit activities, approved by the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, will make a significant contribution to the formation of a modern and effective system of auditing regulation, ensuring the stable operation of the audit services market, which has significant potential for further development.

The Russian delegation acquainted the participants of the round table with the Russian experience of conducting state external quality control of the work of audit organizations.

During the round table, the sides discussed priority directions of the audit development, formation of an effective system of external quality control of audit organizations based on international standards, aimed at improving the quality of audit services and maintaining the confidence of the business community in relation to the results of the audit organizations.
