Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 29 April, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Kungirotboy Sharipov, met with the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, Konstantin Mogilevsky.
During the meeting, issues related to the expansion of scientific and technological cooperation in the fields of engineering and technology were discussed, including the creation of advanced engineering schools and the establishment of a branch of the Moscow State Technical University of Bauman in Uzbekistan.
Additionally, the parties addressed the announcement of a competition for joint scientific research across 11 areas.
Organizational matters concerning the upcoming Innovation Development Forum of the CIS, which will take place in Tashkent on April 30, and preparations for the upcoming session of the Intergovernmental Council on Scientific-Technical and Innovation Cooperation of CIS countries were also discussed.
At the conclusion of the meeting, key areas for further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries were identified.
