Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee, Umid Shadiev, held negotiations in London with Lena Maas, Director of Partnerships at Reuters Events.

The meeting focused on the prospects for Uzbekistan’s active participation in major international forums and summits dedicated to tourism, sustainable development, and global economic issues.

During the constructive dialogue, the parties reached agreements aimed at expanding Uzbekistan’s international presence in the tourism sector. Discussions covered new formats for promoting the country’s tourism potential, establishing direct and effective connections with foreign investors and key partners, and enhancing Uzbekistan’s global visibility.

Particular attention was paid to Uzbekistan’s involvement in Reuters Events as a platform for showcasing the country's achievements in developing its tourism industry, as well as presenting ongoing reforms and initiatives. Both sides emphasized the importance of leveraging such events to strengthen Uzbekistan’s image as an attractive tourist destination and a reliable partner in international cooperation.
