Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov met with Ali bin Abdulatif Al-Misned, a board member of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Fahad Ali Al-Hammadi, the First Secretary of the Qatari Embassy in Uzbekistan.

The meeting focused on key areas of cooperation between the two countries.

One of the main topics was the establishment of a distribution center for Uzbek goods in the Persian Gulf, specifically at Hamad Port in Qatar. The project will also involve the active participation of Qatar Airways in organizing cargo transportation.

Additionally, it was agreed to hold a business forum between Uzbekistan and Qatar in Namangan in October of this year, as well as the first meeting of the Business Partners Council on November 11-12 in Doha. The meeting will form the Council and determine the next steps for expanding bilateral cooperation.

This meeting underscored both parties’ commitment to developing economic relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar and exploring new opportunities for trade and investment cooperation.
