Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the 29th Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road," a meeting took place between Umidjon Shadiyev, Chairman of Uzbekistan's Committee on Tourism, and Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of Russia's Primorsky Krai and Chairman of the Tourism Council under the President of the Russian Federation.
The discussion focused on prospects for bilateral cooperation and future plans in the tourism sector.
Oleg Kozhemyako praised the significant reforms implemented in Uzbekistan's tourism industry in recent years. He highlighted Russia's, including Primorsky Krai's, strong interest in developing further partnerships in this field.
Both sides emphasized the substantial opportunities for enhancing collaboration in tourism and increasing the flow of tourists between the regions.
