Uzbekistan and Perm Krai strengthen cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov held a meeting with Dmitry Makhonin, Governor of Perm Krai, to discuss the development of industrial cooperation between the Russian region and Uzbekistan.

The main topic of the meeting was the results of the business mission of Perm Krai enterprises to Bukhara and Kashkadarya regions, which took place last week. During the mission, 13 companies from Perm visited production facilities in the petrochemical, gas processing, mining, and textile industries in Uzbekistan.

Following the visit, proposals were developed for the supply of industrial goods in demand in Uzbekistan, such as pumping, mining equipment, and cable products for the oil refining and mining sectors.

The Governor of Perm Krai also held talks with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, discussing key areas of cooperation, including industrial collaboration, trade and economic relations, implementation of joint investment projects, development of human resources, and the introduction of advanced technological solutions.

The agreements reached will serve as the basis for a "roadmap" that is planned to be signed at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum in October 2024.
