Uzbekistan and Pakistan to expand business cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the World Chambers Federation Europe & Asia Summit in Istanbul, a meeting was held between Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Tariq Rangunwala, Chairman of the Pakistan National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce.

The parties discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between the business communities of Uzbekistan and Pakistan, as well as the organization of reciprocal business mission visits.

Particular attention was given to simplifying trade procedures and ensuring investment security, which is a key task for the Pakistan National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Pakistan), established in 1955.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a visit for a delegation of Uzbek business circles to Pakistan. The visit will include B2B meetings at the 5th International Textile and Leather Exhibition "TEXPO 2024," which will be held in Karachi from October 23 to 25.

The "TEXPO 2024" exhibition is expected to gather representatives from over 60 countries, as well as more than 300 Pakistani enterprises.

This meeting reflects Uzbekistan’s commitment to strengthening trade and economic ties with Pakistan. Organizing the business mission visit and participating in the "TEXPO 2024" exhibition will open new avenues for cooperation between the business communities of the two countries, fostering the development of bilateral relations.
