Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan held online negotiations with the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan regarding the expansion of the list of goods included in the Preferential Trade Agreement between the two countries, Dunyo news agency reported.
The parties noted the significant growth in bilateral trade since the agreement came into effect in March 2023. However, to reach the target of US$1 billion in trade turnover, set at the highest level, it is necessary to expand the list of goods eligible for preferential treatment.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to continue discussions with new proposals and exchange trade statistics.
