Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov held talks with the Ambassador of Mongolia to Uzbekistan, Daadankhuu Batbaatar.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on a number of promising projects in the field of transport and logistics, with particular focus on the development of bilateral cooperation.
The discussions covered topics such as the launch of direct flights between Tashkent and Ulaanbaatar, as well as the development of road transport through the creation of new transport corridors and the improvement of conditions for carriers.
The parties also outlined specific steps for the implementation of joint projects and agreed to hold a meeting of the Joint Commission on Road Transport in January 2025.
As part of the commission, a pilot road trip from Mongolia to Tashkent along the new "Southern Route" is planned.
The agreements reached will serve as the basis for strengthening transport cooperation between the two countries.
