Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Following productive talks held in Kuala Lumpur, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim signed a Joint Statement aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation and developing a strategic partnership.
In addition, a series of important agreements were signed covering key areas of interaction. These included agreements on cooperation in product certification according to halal standards, customs, higher education, healthcare, culture, and forensic activities.
Special attention was given to academic and diplomatic engagement, the development of smart cities, and strengthening partnership in the fight against corruption. In this regard, a joint action plan for 2025–2026 was approved.
