Uzbekistan and Luxembourg sign protocol to Convention on Avoidance of Double Taxation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Luxembourg signed a protocol on 18 September to amend the Convention on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of evasion of taxes on income and on capital from 2 July 1997, the press service of the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The protocol was signed in Luxembourg. The protocol to the Convention was signed by the chairman of the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Botir Parpiev and the Minister of Finance of Luxembourg Pierre Gramegna.

The Protocol introduces new provisions to the Convention to comply with international standards of tax transparency.
