Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The chairman of the "Uzcharmsanoat" association, Akbar Sultánov, met with the Honorary Consul of Uzbekistan in Latvia and board member of the Uzbek-Latvian Chamber of Commerce, Vladimir Galperin, to discuss the prospects for cooperation. The parties discussed the export of Uzbek leather products to the EU markets, considering the growing demand in Europe.
In early 2025, two large warehouses, totaling 4,000 square meters, are planned to open in Riga and Liepaja. These facilities will be available to Uzbek companies free of charge for storing and shipping products.
The meeting also covered the export of gelatin to Latvia. Cooperation with Latvia will help expand the export of Uzbek products to the Nordic and Baltic countries.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the "Uzcharmsanoat" association and the Uzbek-Latvian Chamber of Commerce.
