Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 February 2025, Deputy Chairmen of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dilshod Rasulov and Khalimjon Safarov, held talks with Vice President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khalid Usman and representatives of local companies.

Founded in 1923, the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the oldest and most influential business associations in Pakistan. Today, it has over 25,000 member companies operating in various industrial and service sectors.

The parties discussed prospects for strengthening trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, improving the business climate, and addressing existing challenges for entrepreneurs. Special attention was given to Uzbekistan’s ongoing economic reforms, the creation of favorable business conditions, and the country’s investment and tourism potential.

During the negotiations, participants exchanged views on the development of the tourism sector, increasing the number of flights between the two countries, establishing business incubators, and expanding cooperation between entrepreneurs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reached agreements on the joint implementation of business programs, the effective utilization of existing opportunities, and increasing bilateral trade volumes.
