During the meeting it was noted that Uzbekistan gave a status of a strategic sector of the economy and social development of the state to the tourism sector.

The sides stressed significant activation of the mutual relations of the two states in the field of tourism. In particular, the Uzbek side noted successful presentation of the tourist potential of the Kyrgyz Republic during the work of World of Leisure-2017 in April.

Uzbekistan also expressed interest in increasing the number of tourists from neighboring countries.

Together with this, it was suggested to consider the possibility of concluding an interagency international agreement between the tourist administrations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Ambassador asked the Uzbek side to assist in broadcasting video clips about the Kyrgyz tourist potential prepared by the Kyrgyz side on the TV channels of Uzbekistan, and expressed readiness to make the necessary efforts in organizing the broadcast of videos about the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting, the sides agreed to strengthen cooperation on further deepening of bilateral relations in the sphere of tourism, including mutual increase of the tourist flow, acceleration of the development and coordination of the draft interagency agreement between the tourist agencies of the two countries, which will give a new impetus to the practical aspects of bilateral relations in the tourism industry.
