Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Ayyubkhan Yunusov and the Director of Kuwait’s General Committee for Labor Resources, Marzouk al-Utaibi, the prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of labor migration were discussed, Dunyo news agenecy reported.
The Kuwaiti side confirmed the need for qualified foreign workers, particularly in healthcare and the service sector.
Both sides emphasized the importance of developing a legal framework to ensure the protection of the rights of Uzbek citizens working in Kuwait.
As a result, an agreement was reached to develop and sign a memorandum of understanding regarding labor force exchange in the private sector, as well as to hold online negotiations for further discussions on the details of cooperation.
