Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Uzbekistan Embassy in Moscow and the Consulate General in St. Petersburg visited the Komi Republic (Russian Federation), Dunyo news agency reported.

During the visit, negotiations were held with the leadership of the region on the further development of interregional dialogue in the trade, economic, investment, migration, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

There were also presentations of the economic potential of our country, negotiations with representatives of large businesses, meetings with representatives of the diaspora and compatriots, and visits to large industrial facilities.

During the visit, issues of intensifying cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed with the head of the Komi Republic, Vladimir Uyba. As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to organize a visit of a business mission of the region to Uzbekistan to explore new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

The diplomats also visited Syktyvkar State University, where a dialogue took place with Uzbek students studying at this university and Ukhta State Technical University.

During the events, members of the delegation got acquainted with the working and studying conditions of our citizens. The policy of the leadership of Uzbekistan in the field of youth and labor migration, as well as other reforms, was discussed with compatriots.
