Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have determined the construction site of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation (ICIC) “Central Asia”.

The location of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation is determined in the area of international (multilateral) checkpoints "Atameken" (Kazakhstan) - "Gulistan" (Uzbekistan).

The corresponding protocol was signed on 2 March 2023 in Shymkent by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Serik Jumangarin and Jamshid Khodjaev.

Now Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will work out the issues of allocating and reserving land plots in the amount of 50 hectares each for the construction of the ICIC.

The parties also agreed, by 15 March 2023, to exchange lists of potential projects for placement on the territory of the ICIC.

The Kazakh and Uzbek trade departments, as curators of the project, agreed within a month to agree on the issues of extending the operation of the "green" corridor for the movement of goods and cargo produced on the territory of the ICIC, as well as to determine the benefits and preferences that operate on the territory of the ICIC on a parity basis.
