Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Japan entered into a number of agreements in the field of information technology (IT). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development s.
On 10 January, a business forum was held in Tashkent with the participation of representatives from Uzbekistan and Japan. During the forum, issues of cooperation in the IT field between the two countries were also discussed.
Representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development held meetings with companies and universities from Japan. The parties discussed issues of training young Uzbek citizens in IT universities in Japan and employment of youth from Uzbekistan abroad.
The Ministry of Digital Development and CAL Co., Ltd signed a memorandum of understanding. The document provides for joint work on the development of IT education in Uzbekistan and ensuring employment of graduates in their specialty in Japan.
The Ministry of Digital Development, Japan Digital University and Digital Knowledge companies also signed a memorandum. The parties intend to introduce educational technologies using generative artificial intelligence.
The Ministry and the Center for International Cooperation in Computerization agreed to create a joint committee that will attract Japanese IT companies to Uzbekistan and organize the exchange of experience in the digital sphere.
