Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 March, the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan Mohammad Ali Iskandari.

At the meeting, directions for the development of cooperation in the field of transport between Uzbekistan and Iran were discussed.

In particular, issues related to the development of road transport, the creation of favorable conditions for national carriers, and the reduction of duties and fees in this direction were considered.

At the meeting it was emphasized that the development of road transport is equally beneficial to both parties.

In this regard, the parties agreed to organize a meeting of the working group and develop specific proposals to resolve the issues discussed at the meeting.
