Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 August 2025, Ismatulla Irgashev, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, met with Mohammad Reza Bahrami, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran and Director of the Department for South Asia.

During the talks, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation on the Afghan agenda, as well as matters of regional stability and security.

Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in continuing regular and constructive dialogue between Uzbekistan and Iran and agreed to maintain ongoing consultations in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
