Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 October, Uzbekistan Airways launched direct flights to the Indian state of Goa.
The inaugural flight, operated by an Airbus A320 Neo, landed at Manohar International Airport in Goa at 10:55 local time. In line with aviation tradition, it was welcomed with a water salute from fire trucks.
Regular flights on the Tashkent–Goa–Tashkent route will now operate on Wednesdays and Sundays. This news will particularly interest residents of Uzbekistan and neighboring countries who are familiar with the resorts along the Goan coast. Additionally, tourists from Goa and nearby states will now have the opportunity to fly directly to Uzbekistan.
Furthermore, Uzbekistan Airways and IndiGo currently operate 16 flights per week from Tashkent to Delhi and Mumbai.
With the introduction of the new route, the total number of flights will increase to 18, enhancing tourism flow between Uzbekistan and India.
