Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan's Ambassador Oybek Shakhavdinov met with Katalin Bihari, Deputy State Secretary for Foreign Economic Relations at Hungary's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the organization of the Uzbek-Hungarian interregional forum, which is scheduled to take place in October in the city of Qoqand. They also addressed issues related to regular flights between Tashkent and Budapest, as well as other current aspects of bilateral relations.
Katalin Bihari noted that the Hungarian ministry would provide practical assistance in organizing the forum, and the leadership of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency is also ready to support this event.
The parties discussed the agenda for the interregional forum and the possibility of holding meetings between representatives of the business circles of both countries in a B2B and B2G format.
Additionally, the meeting included discussions on the Hungarian government’s support for establishing flights between Tashkent and Budapest, which are operated by Qanot Sharq Airlines since August of this year, highlighting the importance of their continuation.
There was also an exchange of views on the agenda for upcoming events aimed at further strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary.
