Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan, led by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiev, held a series of meetings in Hungary with representatives of the Ministry of National Economy, the Tourism Agency and the WizzAir airline, at which they discussed the current state and prospects for expanding cooperation.

During the negotiations, the friendly nature of relations between the countries in many areas was noted, which creates favorable conditions for expanding interaction in the field of tourism.

The parties exchanged experience on the introduction of information technology, development and use of special digital programs in the field of tourism and agreed to organize press tours and info tours for representatives of Hungarian major media, bloggers and tour operators in order to promote the tourism product of Uzbekistan and take measures to attract Hungarian investments in the development of tourism infrastructure. In addition, a decision was made to conduct a joint advertising campaign on international flights and WizzAir Internet sites to promote the tourism potential of our country.

During the visit, the delegation of the Tourism Committee held a presentation of the country’s tourism potential with the participation of more than 50 representatives of the Hungarian Tourism Agency, the largest tourism associations and companies of the two countries, as well as the media. During it, a detailed talk was given about the rich tourism potential, cultural heritage, history, traditions and gastronomy of Uzbekistan.
