The sides discussed issues of enhancing the development of bilateral relations between the countries in the field of tourism, including an increase inflow of tourists to Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek side noted that dynamic reforms in Uzbekistan are opening new opportunities for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in the tourism sector, which is determined by the definition of the tourism industry as a strategic sector of the national economy by the country’s leadership.
In his turn, the Ambassador highly appreciated the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. The Ambassador shared the experience of Hungarian tour operators on organization of combined tours, which include visits to the cities of Praga, Vienna and Budapest. In this regard, he suggested that the Uzbek side consider such tours for Hungarian tourists to attract them into Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek side invited representatives of the Hungarian tourism industry to participate in the annual Tashkent International Tourism Fair and the "Hosted Buyer" program from 3 to 5 October.
It was also proposed to establish close contacts between the tour operators of the two countries for the mutual increase in the tourist flow to the states of the parties.
