Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Paris, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to France, Nodir Ganiyev, met with Jérôme Weinbach, Deputy Director of the Directorate for European and International Affairs at the French Ministry of Labor, Health, Solidarity, and Family. The parties discussed prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in healthcare, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the meeting, the participants emphasized the significant potential for expanding the partnership and highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation between Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health and France’s Ministry of Labor, Health, Solidarity, and Family.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the agreement to consider signing a declaration of agreement covering all areas of cooperation in healthcare.
Special attention was given to the training and retraining of Uzbek medical personnel in France, including the organization of short-term professional development courses and specialized training.
Additionally, the parties discussed the prospects of implementing joint projects in the field of social protection, particularly cooperation between Uzbekistan’s Agency for Social Protection under the President and the French ministry, with the aim of signing a relevant agreement. The meeting confirmed the mutual interest of both Uzbekistan and France in strengthening their partnership in healthcare and social protection.
