Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan between Deputy Minister Akram Aliyev and Finnish Ambassador to Central Asia Ilkka Räisänen.

The discussion was also attended by representatives of several major Finnish companies, including Peikko Group, Elematic, AINS Group, Kone, and East Office.

In a constructive atmosphere, the meeting focused on opportunities for new promising projects.

The Finnish side was presented with key aspects of the favorable business climate in Uzbekistan, as well as new investment initiatives in housing construction and electrical product manufacturing.

Representatives from Finnish companies expressed strong interest in the projects, stating their readiness to immediately begin pre-project work and prepare for the practical implementation phase. Several projects will be carried out under public-private partnership frameworks, leveraging Finnish experience and technologies.

At the end of the meeting, both sides affirmed their firm commitment to deepening and expanding cooperation on all discussed areas and agreed on a schedule of activities for 2025.
