Uzbekistan and Estonia prepare business forum to expand trade ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 February, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Dilshod Rasulov, met with Estonia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Jaap Ora.
At the start of the meeting, Dilshod Rasulov congratulated Jaap Ora on his new position, wishing him success in strengthening the friendly and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Estonia.
The discussions focused on enhancing trade and economic cooperation, including increasing bilateral trade turnover. Particular attention was given to collaboration in electrical engineering, tourism, textiles, leather production, construction, and the food industry.
The parties also emphasized the importance of developing transport and logistics services to further strengthen cooperation and expressed readiness to actively discuss joint projects.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a business forum with the participation of business representatives from both countries in the fourth quarter of this year.
