Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek Ambassador Mansurbek Kilichev met with Ahmed Shaheen, Deputy Foreign Minister of Egypt, Dunyo News Agency reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the organization of visits and events aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries. The focus was on areas with high potential, such as interregional cooperation and trade-investment interactions.
Opportunities for developing industrial cooperation in Egypt’s free economic zones were noted, including joint production of textiles, household and agricultural machinery, and mineral fertilizers, as well as their export to African and European markets.
The discussion also covered the prospects for expanding cooperation in agriculture, cotton growing, livestock, breeding, and other areas. The importance of collaboration in literature and arts was also emphasized.
To thoroughly discuss these issues, it was decided to hold the 11th round of political consultations and an Uzbek-Egyptian business forum in Tashkent in September.
