Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 January, the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, held a meeting with Egypt’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Tamer Fathi Abdussalam Hammad.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan and explored ways to enhance Uzbek-Egyptian cooperation on this issue, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing international efforts aimed at Afghanistan’s socio-economic development.
The Egyptian Ambassador praised Uzbekistan’s initiatives to form a unified regional approach toward Afghanistan, as well as Tashkent’s efforts to promote long-term peace and stability in the country.
The meeting highlights the growing partnership between Uzbekistan and Egypt in addressing regional security and fostering Afghanistan’s development.
