Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 22 October 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to enhance political dialogue, activate trade and investment cooperation, and develop cultural ties and people-to-people diplomacy.
Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov emphasized the rich historical and humanitarian connections between the peoples of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic.
"We had an extensive agenda today—enriching bilateral cooperation, promoting regular exchanges, supporting a more dynamic economic diplomacy, as well as addressing relevant regional and global issues," said Saidov.
The ministers highlighted the significant opportunities for partnership between the two countries.
"A huge potential remains untapped. Together with my colleague, we also signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic," added the Uzbek Foreign Minister.
