Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10-11 April, during a visit to the People's Republic of China, a delegation from Uzbekistan's Ministry held talks with Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of China Yan Dongning and Deputy Director of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Li Xunfeng.

During the meeting with the leadership of the Export-Import Bank, measures to expedite the implementation of several priority projects were discussed. These include the supply of specialized equipment and electric boxes, the reconstruction of irrigation systems in Uzbekistan's regions, as well as initiatives aimed at developing telecommunications infrastructure.

The bank’s vice president expressed readiness to personally oversee these areas and ensure the adoption of all necessary decisions. Furthermore, the parties agreed to accelerate the process of agreeing on new project packages and implement a monitoring system to track progress, with projects being classified according to their implementation stage.

In talks with CIDCA representatives, an agreement was reached to expand the current list of projects. New areas will include the modernization of research institutes in Uzbekistan, the development of telecommunications networks in remote settlements, and the creation of a quantum metrology laboratory.

Following the visit, the Chinese side invited the Ministry's leadership to participate in the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), which will be held in September 2025. Additionally, interest was expressed in participating in the upcoming 2nd Uzbekistan-China Interregional Forum and the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled for June 10-12 in the capital of Uzbekistan.
