Uzbekistan and China sign protocols opening the Chinese market for Uzbek beans and dried melons

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan, together with the Plant Protection Agency, is actively working to promote domestic products to the Chinese market, Dunyo news agency reported.

As part of the state visit of the Chairman of the PRC to Uzbekistan, the Plant Protection and Quarantine Agency and the General Administration of Customs of China signed protocols on phytosanitary requirements for the export of beans and dried melon from Uzbekistan to China.

In the light of the signed protocols, new opportunities are opening up for entrepreneurs to increase exports to China, and for manufacturers and farmers to increase income. It is noted that Uzbek exporters should do everything possible to get the maximum benefit from the Chinese market.

At the same time, products exported from Uzbekistan to China must meet the sanitary and hygienic standards, phytosanitary rules and requirements stipulated in the Protocols.

To arrange the export of their products to the Chinese market, Uzbek producers can apply to the Plant Protection and Quarantine Agency, which, according to the adopted protocols, is called upon to form lists of suppliers in accordance with the requirements of the PRC.

Previously, permission was obtained to export 17 types of agricultural products to China, including cherries, mung beans, fresh melons, sesame and other types.
