Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Belarus are intensifying joint combat training of armies. This was stated by the head of the department of international military cooperation of the Belarusian military department, Valery Revenko, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus reports.

The statement was made following the visit to Tashkent of the Chief of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus Viktor Gulevich. In the Uzbek capital, he met with the First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov.

It is reported that the parties discussed the current state of bilateral military cooperation and outlined ways to intensify it in areas of mutual interest.

The format for interaction between countries in the military sphere should be much broader than the plan for bilateral cooperation. In the near future, a significant intensification of relations is expected, including within the framework of combat training,” wrote Valery Revenko on the X social network.
